It was held at the Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) Islamic Center by the Iranian Cultural Center in Tanzania on the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Mohsen Ma’arefi, the Iranian cultural attaché, explained about the history of the Islamic Revolution and elaborated on Iran’s developments and accomplishments after the revolution’s victory despite international sanctions.
Quoting Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, he stated that women played a significant role in the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
“They were at the forefront in all areas of the revolution’s success, and even in cases where men were on the front lines, women played an important role in their presence,” he said.
He presented a film showcasing the achievements of the Islamic Revolution in the realm of women, providing statistics that demonstrate the extensive presence of women in various social, economic, and cultural fields after the Islamic Revolution. He also introduced several successful women from the country.
Then, the participants asked questions on various topics, including the progress made in Iran in the field of treatment of infertility in couples, vaccine development, and Imam Khomeini’s theological views on the importance of modern sciences and necessary explanations were provided.
Munira Haitham Tajri, the director of the Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) Islamic Center, also addressed the event. She emphasized the importance of the program in raising awareness among students.

She stated that the experiences of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, particularly in the field of women’s issues, serve as a model for Tanzanian girls and women. By witnessing these tangible experiences, they come to understand that the opportunities for women’s participation and influence are vast, she added.
